WEST END STUDIO REFURB NEARS COMPLETION

Posted on 29th January 2014

The renovation of Soho Studios in Torrington Place WC1 is scheduled for completion in early March and offers a new leaseholder the opportunity to acquire ten production rooms for 15 years or more. Located just a stone’s throw from Goodge Street station in the heart of London’s West End the studio complex comprises ten studios kitchen toilets a small office and a communal lounge area arranged over the entire lower ground floor of the property; as well as parking for one vehicle subject to availability and fees. The lease for the lower ground floor is currently held and offered for sale by Soho Recording Studios for £300000 (offers welcome) and includes outright purchase of the lease business title (Soho Recording Studios) and website. This is a buyout premium paid to the current leaseholder who would walk away leaving the directorship of the company with the new leaseholder together with responsibility for ongoing rent rates bills service charge etc. Details on the studio’s previous operating expenses including rates service charges and insurance are available on request; as are the studio accounts which show a healthy combined total net profit from Box Clever and Soho. The studios have enjoyed full occupancy since Soho Studios first opened approximately 16 years ago and Box Clever was fully occupied since they were built a few years later. The location remains prime for many professional creative industries and so there is never a shortage of subtenants to occupy as many rooms as is required.
