Do you need a single apprentice or 10 new staff? With huge wage grants in place for 16-18 year old apprenticeships this is a very powerful package for any HR studio manager or freelancer to consider. Deep Recording alongside JAMES are already approved to roll out this pioneering industry-approved program to employers to help them make decisions on recruitment. Deep can offer to source any 16+ year old via pre training in time for an employer January 2014 start OR You can take on YOUR own 16-18 year old apprentice for any small or large recording sector employer for either an October 2013 or January 2014 start. Deep can offer employers the entire package – including admin grant support – just email us or call us 020 8206 5850. Any studio apprentice must be recruited with the intention for the placement to last at least a year. They will primarily learn on the job but this will be supplemented by industry approved (JAMES and City & Guilds) FE providers or colleges with off-the-job learning helping employers keep focused on working. All individuals will have achieved industry developed skills and qualifications by the end of their 12-36 month period. This means that any UK music and recording studio employer can now: Select their own 16-18 individuals whom Deep can then put into free industry-approved certified training at Deep to enrol Sept/Oct or Jan/Feb each year to allow employers to claim ALL wage grants – plus any other additional grants employers might gain for employing a young person (16-18) into the studio facility apprenticeship scheme (35 hours per week x 12 months.) Apprenticeship Basic Grant for Employers (AGE Grant) This is an incentive to take on an apprentice if you have not taken one on in the last 12months and have less than 1000 staff. The incentive is £1500 and you can claim this for up to 10 apprentices in one go. For more information click here.
